You should schedule an in home or over the phone estimate with a moving company

Evaluate what items will not be going with you to your next location

Schedule a Moving Truck

Have the moving company provide with FREE boxes if you choose to pack yourself

Two Weeks Before Move 

Transfer all of your utilities

Change your address

Coordinate your move dates that match up with closing

Week of Move 

Send reminders to start packing or schedule movers to pack

Send confirmation of move

Schedule Elevator times for your building

Send building Certificate of Insurance (Moving Company should do this for you)

Day of Move

Get cash for Tips for your movers, typical is 20% of the total move and divide that up with the amount of men that move you.
